Medical Assistant & Office Technology The objective of the Medical Assistant & Office Technology Program is to prepare students in both Clinical and Administrative duties, reporting directly to an office manager, physician, or other health practitioner. The program will prepare students on the essential support areas of patient care, medical and lab procedures, records management, and office administration Students will learn Microsoft Office, Business Communications, Medical Law & Ethics, Medical Billing and Insurance Coding. Students will also learn how to take medical histories and record vital signs; explain treatment procedures to patients, Phlebotomy, EKG, First Aid, CPR, CPT & ICD-9. Students complete their externship/internship portion of this program at a medical facility where they utilize the skills they have acquired as well as gain additional skills at the facility.
